Sleepy summer days

It's been a while since I've written, mostly because my life hasn't been very exciting lately. I've spent a lot of time just hanging around my house reading -- in the last few days, I finished the fifth and sixth (because I had to remember what happened) and then the seventh Harry Potter! Don't worry, no spoilers here. I do think they are becoming less and less of children's books, although still not quite full adult fare. I guess they fit best in young adult -- as long as the readers age along with Harry! I've also been having weekly pool dates with friends and their kids. Last week there were five kids under the age of six in our little group, plus at least four more from other families. It's fun to spend time with people of that age, and I know their moms are relieved to have some extra hands around, not to mention some adult company. Aside from that, and playing Ultimate two nights a week (losing most of our games), it's been a very mellow few weeks. The work on our back porch is still going on, although I hope they will be done soon. I don't really have to supervise, but I like to be around when I can. It's been really hot, hard to do much active except in the evenings. Riding my bike is the only other option -- it's great because you can create your own breeze! Still, it can be hard to get myself motivated....especially knowing I go back to school in only a couple of weeks. I should take advantage of this lazy time while I can, because it will be over all too soon!
