Lots going on here this week, which is probably why I have a cold and have lost my voice! (I'm just glad I made it this far into the school year, to be honest. The kids have been dropping like flies.) We were up in Fort Collins for a tournament all weekend, Tuesday night we played Ultimate, Wednesday night was book club (although no one but me read our book!), Thursday night we drove up to Boulder for a They Might Be Giants concert (great music, lots of nerds!), Friday night we went to Yom Kippur services, and tonight we met an old friend of my mom's and her son for dinner. Whew. It was great to see them both, even though I had to whisper my end of the conversation! Robin was at our wedding, but I don't remember the last time I saw Miriah -- years ago. He just moved here, and it will be fun to reconnect now that he is in town.
Our latest house project just got finished today -- a major landscape renovation of our front yard. It's amazing how different it looks. I'll post pictures soon. We basically terraced a big chunk of the yard, and then planted shrubs in the newly created flat space. Ought to be much easier to mow now! I'm glad our neighbors bought into the project -- living in a duplex can make things more complicated sometimes, but they really took this on and got the ball rolling.
